Risk & Compliance Manager

As part of the Legal and Risk Management department, the Risk & Compliance Manager will be an important part of the team that encompasses all key regulatory and operational risk-related functions at Indue. The Legal and Risk department also plays an important role in providing internal services and expertise across all aspects of the company’s activities to ensure the effective management of compliance and risk.

Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance, the Risk & Compliance Manager is primarily accountable for assisting with the monitoring, control testing and analysis of the performance of Indue’s compliance and risk systems. The Risk & Compliance Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of compliance frameworks, both legal and prudential;
  • Update compliance training materials;
  • Preparing legal compliance and other prudential returns, with supporting analysis for review;
  • Completing compliance trend analysis exercises and associated reporting;
  • Maintaining the compliance breach and obligations register including reporting;
  • Reviewing departmental risk registers for currency and update as necessary;
  • Reviewing operational incidents and producing analysis on trends, themes and influences;
  • Providing administration and analysis to support risk assessment exercises; and
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative, professional relationships with all key internal stakeholders across the business.

About You

With a relevant formal qualification in Law or similar, you will have at least five years’ experience in a comparable compliance role, with a particular focus on compliance obligations relevant to an ASIC and APRA regulated entity, and at least three years’ risk management experience.

You will have experience in risk analysis and reporting and well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with a sound ability to effectively develop and manage varied client and stakeholder relationships and expectations.

Finally, you will possess sound commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and drive the company’s compliance and risk management frameworks and strategies to comply with regulatory and risk obligations, APRA’s prudential standards and the company’s business strategy.

Experience in the banking, insurance, or finance industry will be highly desirable.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst at Indue you will undertake detailed analysis of business and user processes, systems and requirements to support the scoping and delivery of cards and payment projects. Within this you will work closely with all relevant stakeholder groups, particularly Project Managers, ensuring they are effectively engaged and informed throughout each project.

Key responsibilities include; Undertaking detailed analysis, documentation and evaluation of business processes and procedures before providing recommendations, identify and evaluate compliance requirements and risks as they relate to system capabilities and client requirements, and develop appropriate control measures.

This opportunity is a full time permanent position.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Formal qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business or IT
  • Experience in a similar role with an emphasis on requirements gathering, detailed design, functional specification and stakeholder management
  • BA experience within Cards and Payments
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and manage varied client and stakeholder relationships and manage expectations
  • Strong ability to effectively elicit, interpret, analyse and translate complex business information from stakeholders into documented solutions
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in the day-to-day use of typical Microsoft programs (including Visio, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel between Brisbane and Sydney as required.

Implementation & Release Engineer

About the Role

As the Implementation & Release Engineer at Indue, you will take a leading role in the efficient and timely implementation and deployment of Systems. Through this, you will be involved in the setup, configuration, testing and deployment of applications software to support the delivery of client and internal projects. As a self-motivated and passionate individual, you’ll proactively manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with project stakeholders to ensure technical implementation requirements are delivered successfully.

Your work will involve active participation in the full lifecycle of projects, from requirements analysis for the implementation through to triage support for testers and clients in UAT and pilot testing cycles. You will need a high level of attention to detail and a passion for troubleshooting/investigating and resolving issues quickly as they arise.

A key requirement of this role is to support software releases and server patching during after hours in line with business needs and client expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Software configuration and Release management process and practices
  • Implement and manage the software release process and collaborate with team members during the entire lifecycle of the project
  • Engage with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure risks and issues are assessed and managed
  • Ensure completeness of deployment plans, implementation plans and publish release package communications
  • Validate the release is operating as expected

About You

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

    • Formal qualifications in a relevant IT discipline
    • 5+ years experience in a client-facing application support and implementation/administration role
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills underpinned by a strong service focus
    • In-depth knowledge and experience in web and database technologies, and application/ server configuration of products with a specific focus on MS Windows Server, MS SQL Server or other database server, and MS IIS or other web servers
    • Demonstrated ability to apply strong technical leadership and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills in understanding and investigating complex technical issues to drive timely and effective resolution
    • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at a senior level within an application support team environment, including the ability to self-manage, prioritise conflicting priorities, and coach, engage and work collaboratively with others
    • You will display attributes as a positive and supportive team player, who enjoys understanding different areas of the business and developing solid working relationships that are built on a foundation of trust and delivery.
